The branches were very busy during the holiday season, with a variety of festive activities full of cheer and good will.
The Surrey office held a Holiday Christmas Market with a wide variety of goodies for sale.
During the 12 Days of Christmas, staff at the Kamloops branch made gingerbread houses, held a bake sale, and received a visit from Santa.
At the Calgary office, staff organized an Alphabet Soup Potluck fundraiser, volunteers made gingerbread houses with the children at the Boys and Girls Club, and several staff members delivered holiday gifts to an ‘adopted’ family.
The Kelowna branch had their 6th Annual Chili Cook-off, and staff enjoyed holiday drinks at a special after-work event called ‘Cheers for Charity’.
Staff at the Victoria branch put together Christmas hampers for the Victoria Women’s Transition House. It was the first year they decorated the office for the holiday season, and they also had their first staff-and-family Christmas potluck.
At the Fort St. John office, Urban Systems partners hosted a lovely breakfast followed by a Service Auction. Staff bid on tasks they could do for each other in the new year.
In addition to these activities, employees at the branches collectively contributed to the Foundation’s 2016 Holiday Drive for literacy, supporting Books with Wings and Syrian families sponsored by CBWC.
A great deal of holiday spirit was expressed across the company during this past festive season. In 2017, we look forward to many more opportunities to give back to our local communities and beyond!
