We worked with the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) and the City of Chilliwack, to conduct a network screening study to identify and prioritize potential safety improvements on the City’s network. All major intersections (signalized and unsignalized) within City limits, excluding those owned by the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MoTI), were reviewed. Through two phases of screening, a total of 31 intersections were ultimately identified as high-priority locations. Site observations were conducted for these locations as part of the correct ability analysis. Potential correctable measures were then identified for these locations, as well as high-level strategies to address safety across the network.
