Urban Systems recently completed the City-wide Stormwater Targets Study for the City of Calgary. The project supports the City’s regulatory and watershed protection commitments. The project objective was to establish watershed-specific runoff volume, rate and total suspended solids (TSS) loading targets for new development areas and existing built form in the City of Calgary. It includes the assessment of pre-development runoff rates and volumes, development of a spreadsheet-based pollutant loading model for TSS, estimation of pre- and post-development TSS loads, and establishing a relationship between runoff volumes and TSS loadings to the Bow River.
