Urban Systems worked with the City of Dawson Creek to produce treated municipal sewage effluent for oil and gas operators to use rather than potable water in production. A consultation process led to a Request for Proposals which resulted in Shell Canada providing $10 million to build a reclaimed water facility. We led the design and construction of the project which includes three pump stations, tertiary treatment works and a truck filling station with pumps integrated into the main treatment building. Shell Canada also designed and built a high pressure pump station and a pipeline to bring in treated water.
