We worked alongside MPE Engineering Ltd. and the Quad Regional Water Partnership to address water quality and quantity issues in the region south of Calgary that encompasses the Town of Turner Valley, Town of Black Diamond, Municipal District of Foothills, and Village of Longview. Essential services became the priority when major components of the existing water system were destroyed during the flood of 2013. An emergency fire hose transporting water to Black Diamond from Turner Valley was the first of many emergency measures implemented.
The feasibility, financial analysis, design and construction project involved expanding the source water supply and treatment at Turner Valley and connecting the Town of Black Diamond to the treatment plant via a regional transmission main. We helped with public consultation, facilitating governance, business case and financial analysis, grant applications, detailed engineering and construction inspection for the transmission pipeline.
