Public Works Association of British Columbia Conference – The Sustainable Service Delivery Assessment Tool
The Public Works Association of British Columbia (PWABC) is holding its 2nd Annual Operations Seminar on Monday February 19 in New Westminster. The theme of the event is “Leadership, Operations and Safety.” The one day event will highlight key trends and solutions in Public Works as well as innovative health and safety programs. Urban Systems is a silver sponsor and Community Planner Sara Stevens will be discussing her work developing a Service Sustainability Assessment Tool that was developed for the city of Grand Forks, BC. This easy to use tool allows communities to assess whether their core services; water, wastewater, drainage, transportation, parks, solid waste, fire protection and civic facilities are sustainable. The tool includes a reporting function that generates summary graphics that local governments can use to communicate results to Council and the public. The Tool will soon be available for free on the Asset Management BC website.
