We worked with the City of Chilliwack to develop a Neighbourhood Plan for Alder Ave, an inner city area in transition that contains a mix of single detached homes, apartment buildings, a range of strip malls and other commercial properties as well as a church.
We started with a site and capacity analysis and included community engagement at each stage of the planning process. The resulting land use plan provides access and circulation for all modes of transportation, high density housing and green spaces—complete with a playground and pathways—for neighbourhood residents to enjoy. It also gives the City the direction it needs to consider all future development applications for the area.
