To replace its outdated Master Drainage Plans, Urban Systems has worked with the City of Kamloops to formulate a three phase process that will enable the City to develop a fully integrated approach to stormwater management. Phase 1 of the process involved a scoping study. During Phase 2, Urban Systems prepared the key “Guiding Document for Integrated Stormwater Management”. The Document outlines recommendations for policies, regulations, and financing to support a more sustainable approach to stormwater management. Guiding principles and objectives were established for the technical planning in coming years. The third and final phase will involve conducting a series of technical studies of the City’s various watersheds, ultimately leading to implementation of a comprehensive management approach.
