We worked with the the Town of Black Diamond facilitating the design of a flood protection berm along the Sheep River downstream of the Highway 22 Bridge, following the floods of June 2013. During the flood, the Highway 22 Bridge was washed out and many properties in the town were threatened by rising water levels.
We managed a detailed creek survey and hydraulic modelling of the river reach. Hydraulic modelling was carried out to determine the required berm size and location. The berm is designed to protect the town from 1:100 year flood water levels.
