Drainage infrastructure in the RM of Wilton, SK has been implemented reactively, lacking the “big picture” needed to effectively manage the system and plan for improvements. A Drainage Master Plan is currently being developed to address on-going drainage and flooding issues, and provide direction for infrastructure management.
The project is being undertaken in three stages: (1) Data collection and high level hydrologic assessments, including the identification of data gaps and drainage issues; (2) a comprehensive evaluation of specific drainage issues and development of solution alternatives; and (3) Development of the Master Plan Document. To strategically guide infrastructure development.
