Vedder Bridge

Replacing the Vedder Bridge meant working through several physical and environmental constraints. Urban Systems joined Emil Anderson Construction and Klohn Crippen Berger on a design-build team, drawing on a long history of working together to line up design and constructability from the start. The new bridge includes two wider travel lanes, shoulders, and multi-use paths on both sides of the structure. Urban Systems was responsible for road and drainage design, traffic engineering, and utilities design, including the reconfiguration of the approach roads and the adjacent intersection.
