Coquitlam Rail Corridor Improvements Project

The Coquitlam Rail Corridor Improvement project is part of the Greater Vancouver Gateway 2030 initiative, which aims to make trade through the region more reliable and increase its capacity. Urban Systems supported the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority throughout the project, preparing technical content for meetings with interest holders and hosting, organizing, and presenting at multi-party workshops. These included a Risk Review workshop for the Pitt River Interchange and sessions on the Glacier Street Connection, Riverview Lands Integration, and Lougheed Highway safety improvements. The team also presented to a wide range of partners, including Kwikwetlem First Nation Chief and Council, engineering staff from Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam, the BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, TransLink, BC Hydro, and Metro Vancouver.
