Northeast BC Water Strategy

Many agencies share responsibility for water in northeast BC. Urban Systems helped the Province of British Columbia develop the Northeast Water Strategy to improve coordination among those agencies and create policies that support better decisions about water. The team facilitated the process, which included workshops with five ministries and a provincial commission, resulting in five objectives and 12 strategies to make government services more effective. The work continues today, with Urban Systems helping the Province, First Nations, and local governments in the region coordinate how water is governed and managed.
