Coquitlam Cemetery Services Plan and Robinson Memorial Park Design and Construction

Coquitlam’s only municipal cemetery, Robinson Memorial Park, had limited remaining inventory for full burials. Our first project involved projections of Coquitlam’s cemetery needs through analysis of demographics, trends and best practices, and preparation of a business plan that includes recommendations for services and fees. Our team explored multiple scenarios based on varying projections of service distribution and fees. The final plan includes two types of green burial. We also prepared design options for expanding the capacity of Robinson Memorial Park by extending interments into a forested area of the cemetery. The final plan includes cost estimates for the phased integration of new cemetery capacity and services. After completion of the Cemetery Services Plan, our team was contracted to complete design of Phases 1 and 2 of the cemetery expansion. We were the prime consultants for the detailed design, which also involved geotechnical, structural, electrical, and irrigation consultants.
