Hotchkiss Development

Hotchkiss is one of southeast Calgary’s newest communities located just East of Stoney Trail. Built on more than a quarter section of level prairie land in sight of the Rocky Mountains, Hotchkiss will have 51 acres of park space and pathways, which includes a central wetland and boardwalk. Urban Systems is in the process of designing and constructing an 11 Phase Subdivision that boasts beautiful views of the mountains as well as the downtown skyline. To make this community possible, the project requires just over one million cubic meters of dirt/earth to be graded, including the 30-acre wetland/pond area. To properly service this site three directional drill shots are required beneath Stoney Trail and Highway 22X to tie into the City’s existing infrastructure. When it's completed, the community will have 2,300 paired, laned and front-attached garage homes.
