Established in 1989, the Lucky Man Cree Nation reserve consists of 7,680 acres of land nestled in the Thickwood Hills of central Saskatchewan. Generations of Lucky Man members are still living apart from one another, but they remain determined to build a place for the Nation to come back together. Our team is working with Lucky Man to co-create a master plan to support a thriving, healthy, and vibrant community and an infrastructure servicing strategy to guide the phased development of the land. Other areas of support include development of the Nation’s first on-reserve home – a net zero certified housing unit that incorporates energy conservation measures that go beyond the current building codes and align with Lucky Man’s goals of reducing operating costs, energy use, and environmental impact. Our team is also supporting the expansion of Lucky Man’s existing band hall as well as the development of a new cultural gathering space where the Nation's Elders can share stories, games and teachings with its youth.
