Carrington Developments

Carrington is a 580-acre community in the western part of the Keystone Hills Area Structure Plan, on land owned by three developers: Mattamy Homes, Genstar Development Company, and H3 Developments. Urban Systems was retained by the developers, both together and individually, to find infrastructure and grading solutions for the site. The project faced several challenges, including a shortage of fill material for the low-lying lands, the need for an offsite sanitary trunk sewer, and removal of a Growth Management Overlay, a City designation that limits development until servicing is in place. Urban Systems was first engaged in 2010 to provide planning and engineering services and is now working on subdivision development for all three developers. Working across all three has helped bring the pieces together into one connected community.
