Vedder Bridge
The Vedder Bridge Replacement involved several physical and environmental constraints making it a challenging project requiring superior project management skills, innovative engineering design, and construction expertise that the design build team was able to deliver. Urban Systems teamed with Emil Anderson Construction (EAC) and Klohn Crippen Berger (KCB), to form a multidisciplinary team that used it’s extensive history and strong working relationships to align design and constructability requirements in an effort to propose the most efficient solutions possible. The full scope of the project included the configuring of 2 wider travel lanes, shoulders and multi-use paths on both sides of the structure. Urban Systems was responsible for the road and drainage design, and traffic engineering and utilities design, which included the reconfiguration of the approaching roads and adjacent intersection.
